Canvas by Instructure

Learning Management System (K-12)

Canvas is our learning management system and provides students with a place to access information related to their classes. Students are expected to use their planners to keep track of their daily assignments and responsibilities. This is especially important in middle school as students are learning how to plan their week, manage multiple classes, and balance different activities. Middle school teachers are reinforcing this skill by checking and signing student planners each class period. Canvas can also be used as a resource for students to check:

• Homework

• Upcoming test and quiz dates

• Classroom resources

• Assignment submissions for some high school classes

Parent Square

School Communication (K-12)

ParentSquare is our platform for school communication. This is where families will receive:

• School-wide announcements and alerts, such as information about snow days

• Targeted class or group communications

• Important reminders and updates

BJU Trove

Digital Books (6-12)

Trove is our platform for students to access digital textbooks at home or at school.

·      Elementary Students- physical copies of books in classrooms.

·      Middle School Students- physical copies of books to use in the classroom and can access digital books through Trove for homework or studying.

·      High School Students-digital textbooks on Trove.
